Betting Markets to Watch
The Chiefs have been made early favourites in their match-up against the Raiders, who have lost each of their last nine games against opponents on a winning streak.
They did win last season’s contest at Allegiant Stadium (14-12) after Daniel Carlson hit a career-long 60-yard field goal with just eight seconds remaining. But the Chiefs were far from full-strength, with many starters rested and Patrick Mahomes injured.
The Raiders handicap has value, as the Raiders have covered the line in each of their last five games against AFC opponents, but a Chiefs win is far more likely.
San Francisco are favourites to beat Denver, although there may be value in the underdogs. The Broncos have won each of their last 10 games against NFC opponents.
Alternative value may be in the total points in the over; eight of the 49ers' last nine home games against AFC opponents have gone over the total match points line.
The game between the Rams and Eagles will be another that catches the eye this week. Rams are the favourites, but the Eagles have won 10 of their last 11 games against them, suggesting they have the value, especially as they’ll be at home.
The Dallas Cowboys are underdogs against the Houston Texans, but have value to win. The Texans have lost each of their last four games.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott couldn’t get them the win after a walk-off field goal by Baltimore in Rio, but they should be better against a state rival.
Our Prediction
You can check out our latest NFL betting odds.
Our main prediction is for Kansas City to win.
Our long shot is the Giants to beat the Cardinals; despite the injuries to Jaxson Dart and Brian Burns, the Cardinals have lost 11 of their last 12 games. Jon Harbaugh appears to be grinding the basics out to get wins in New York, which could work in their favour.
