Week five delivered its share of drama, chaos, and betting heartbreaks.

Underdogs rose as the Jags stunned the Chiefs, and other favourites, the Bills fell to the Patriots.

The rollercoaster nature of the season is on full display, which is making our job trickier with every passing week.

But that’s the joy in looking into our crystal ball and trying to find some winners for the good followers of The Huddle.

Onto week six. Let’s go.

For the latest NFL news, predictions, and betting tips, read on with my NFL Tips & Predictions for week six below!

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants

Friday, October 10th, 11:15 AM, AEST, MetLife Stadium, New Jersey

The Eagles were unbeaten as Denver arrived in The City of Brotherly Love, but by the end of four quarters, they had a loss to their name.

Weirdly, the Eagles barely ran the ball and tried to win the game via the aerial game.

New York is hardly a defensive unit as potent as Denver’s, so running the ball will be a focus.

The G Men dropped another one, against lowly New Orleans, but young QB Jaxson Dart is showing signs as a young playmaker. Without Malik Nabers, he will need someone to join him on the rise.

Philly should be able to launch quickly back into the winner’s circle.

Betting tip: Eagles 27 - Giants 17

Best Bet: Saquon Bakley 100+ rush yards & anytime TD

Detroit Lions vs Kansas City Chiefs

Monday, October 13th, 11:20 AM AEST, Geha Field, Kansas City

The week one worries about where the Lions would be without their offensive and defensive coordinators from last season are long gone.

Detroit is the highest-scoring team in the NFL through five weeks and will pose questions to an always well-prepared Chiefs defense.

The exact quality KC possesses is still somewhat undetermined. We might need to see them a few more times before deciding how great they are, but whenever Patrick Mahomes is at quarterback, you should feel pretty good.

The Lions went into Baltimore and hammered the Ravens, which has seen them spiral since. I doubt the margin will be as massive here, but I like the Lions to go into Arrowhead and do the job.

Betting tip: Lions 28 - Chiefs 24

Best Bet: Amon Ra-St Brown 70+ receiving yards & Jahmyr Gibbs 40+ receiving yards

Buffalo Bills vs Atlanta Falcons

Tuesday, October 14th, 10:15 AM AEST, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta

A Monday night double dip with the fired-up Bills rolling into the dirty south to meet the rested Falcons.

Michael Penix Jr is still a major work in progress, but he has weapons to assist in his growth. Kyle Pitts is finally showing some consistency, Drake London is one of the premier young receivers in the game, and Bijan Robinson has almost 600 rushing and receiving yards combined.

Josh Allen and the Bills were sloppy last week on Sunday night when hosting New England.
Turnovers and penalties ruined their momentum, and they never really got going like we’ve seen in the opening month of the season. You’d have to imagine there will be some vengeance on the mind here.

The Bills' run defence is struggling, meaning Robinson should be able to make moves in the ground game, which takes plenty of pressure off Penix.

The Falcons are slowly building, but an angry Bills squad will be too much inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

Betting tip: Bills 30 - Falcons 27

Best Bet: Bills win +49.5 total points

Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders

Tuesday, October 14th, 11:15 AM AEST, Northwest Stadium, Landover

The Bears arrive off their bye for a clash with Washington, who were superb in Los Angeles last week.

‘Bill’ Croskey-Merritt was a live wire for the Commanders, with 111 yards and two scores on the ground. Deebo Samuel keeps making plays, too, scoring a TD and adding 96 receiving yards on eight catches.

Under Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams has shown signs but has also made some crucial mistakes once the offence gets off script. The young play-caller needs help from outstanding young receiver Rome Odunze and DJ Moore.

With Jayden Daniels’ health improving, it’s hard to see Washington going down in this prime-time spot.

Betting tip: Commanders 28 - Bears 23

Best Bet: Jacory Croskey-Merritt anytime TD & Rome Odunze anytime TD

Once again, we landed 2/4 on our anytime TD scorer multi for the early games. Alvin Kamara and Daniel Jones missed while Javonte Williams and Derrick Henry scored.

This week, we go again.

Hunter Henry for New England, Travis Etienne in Jacksonville, Michael Pittman in Indy, and Karen Williams for the Rams. Four players, four scorers - that’s all we ask. Check out that bet on my Feed profile.
