NFL Preview – Week 12 Tips & Predictions

19/11/2025|Josh Jenkins|NFL Tips & Predictions

The logjam is becoming real as teams jockey for playoff seedings, despite seven weeks of the regular season remaining.

The Lions are on the outside looking in, despite a 6-4 record in the NFC, whilst, unimaginably, Kansas City sits outside the playoff standings entering week 12.

We have reached go-time for these teams.

For the latest NFL news, predictions, and betting tips, read on with my NFL Tips & Predictions for week 12 below!

Buffalo Bills vs Houston Texans

Friday, November 21st, 12:15 PM, AEDT, NRG Stadium, Houston

The Bills regained some momentum with a thunderous offensive performance last week against Tampa.

44 points, thanks to MVP Josh Allen, makes everything feel better in Western New York. The superstar QB accounted for 300+ pass yards, 3 pass TD and 3 rush TD - something no player had ever achieved in a single game in NFL history.

The defence remains a problem, giving up 32 points against a banged-up Buccaneers offence.

Houston’s offence is banged up, too. CJ Stroud looks likely to miss a third consecutive game with concussion symptoms, meaning Davis Mills remains at the helm. Mills has been solid in the past fortnight, so counting him out is foolish.

Houston’s defence also reigns supreme.

They’re ranked NFL #1 in points allowed and yards allowed. DeMeco Ryans’ boys are mean machines, and Josh Allen will be in their sights.

On the short week, I’d expect this to be a tense, competitive, tenacious and potentially ugly clash between two AFC playoff contenders.

Betting tip: Bills 21 - Texans 20

Best Bet: Josh Allen 40+ rush yards (he will be running for his life)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Los Angeles Rams

Monday, November 24th, 12:20 PM AEDT, SoFi Stadium, Inglewood

This looks a beauty on paper, but also one Tampa Bay really needs.

They’ve dropped a couple on the spin, the latest a showdown in Buffalo against Josh Allen’s Bills. The defence had 44 hung on them, but encouragingly, Baker Mayfield and the offence scored 32 in trying circumstances.

Tampa bumps into one of the best teams in the NFL here. Los Angeles has been superb, reaching an 8-2 record with an impressive +100-point differential on the season. Matthew Stafford looks like the MVP at age 37. DaVante Adams is revitalised after departing Vegas and New York. Puka Nacua is borderline impossible to bring down in one-on-one tackling situations, and the defence keeps making plays in the post-Aaron Donald era.

Tampa are gritty - led by Mayfield - but this looks a tall task. A win would be massive, with Carolina now nipping at their heels in the NFC South.

Inside SoFi Stadium, we’ll side with Stafford, Puka, DVA and the Rams.

Betting tip: Rams 28 - Buccaneers 24

Best Bet: +49.5 total points

Carolina Panthers vs San Francisco 49ers

Tuesday, November 25th, 12:15 PM AEDT, Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara

All of a sudden, Carolina has entered the conversation.

Starting the season 0-2, then dropping to 1-3, no one thought much of the Panthers this year. But since that slow start, they’ve gone 5-2 and have edged closer to the NFC playoff race.

Here, they face a fellow NFC hopeful, San Francisco. The Niners have overcome — so far - some massive injury issues, which showcases the team’s coaching (Kyle Shanahan as head coach and play-caller and Rob Salah as defensive coordinator).

Christian McCaffrey has been outstanding for this team. CMC leads in rushing attempts, rushing yards, receiving yards, and receptions. He already has nearly 100 targets in the passing game and has run the ball almost 200 times.

The workload is huge, but he keeps answering the call - 3 touchdowns last week highlight that.

Oh, and he used to be a Carolina Panther!

The Niners are only 2-2 at home this season, and they’ll be desperate to win this one and move further ahead of Carolina in the playoff race.

Betting tip: 49ers 26 - Panthers 20

Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey anytime TD + 6 receptions + 60 rush yards

NFL 2025/26 Super Bowl LX Championship Odds:
