2025 NFL NFC East Prediction | Eagles Still the Team to Beat

04/09/2025|Josh Jenkins|NFL Tips & Predictions

The 25/26 NFL season is here. We’re past the pre-season, past the Tay Tay appearance that broke the internet on ‘New Heights’ and hopefully past most of the contract holdouts and trade demands.

We’re looking at every team, every strength, every possible weakness and a way to make money on all 32 NFL squads. This time we take a look at TV’s favourite primetime division - the NFC East. Home to your current Superbowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and the best young defender in football in Micah Parsons… oh wait the Cowboys traded him.

For the latest analysis, predictions and betting tips for the NFC East, check out my 2025 NFL NFC East preview and predictions below. You can also follow me on the feed for plenty of other NFL tips and predictions throughout the season.

Dallas Cowboys Season Preview

Head Coach: Brian Schottenheimer.

Last season: 7-10.

Unsurprisingly, drama surrounds Dallas’ pre-season prep.

Superstar defender Micah Parsons wanted a new deal, then wanted a trade. Owner/GM Jerry Jones wanted to take his time. Queue a 4 week standoff that led to a blockbuster trade to Conference rivals Green Bay Packers.

Dak Prescott will be back off another injury. The hamstring injury was a serious one and questions will be there about Dak’s mobility. He’d only rushed for 54 yards through eight games but was once a very handy ball-carrier when the pocket collapsed.

I like the receivers, CeeDee Lamb and new addition, George Pickens. Pickens can be a handful but his talent is obvious to all. Those two can do damage to defensive backs.

Parsons needs to be signed, and even then, I’m not sure this can be a playoff football team. But without him, you can bookmark them for the first 15 picks in the next NFL draft.

Projected Record: 7-10.

Best Bet: CeeDee Lamb 1250+ receiving yards.

New York Giants Season Preview

Head Coach: Brian Daboll.

Last season: 3-14.

Daboll is 19-33-1 as head coach, so it’s go time in New York for the head coach.

Problem is, they have not been able to solve the QB issue. Daniel Jones moves on, Russell Wilson arrives, as does fellow veteran Jameis Winston but the real hope lies within rookie Jaxon Dart. The Round 1 pick threw for three scores and no picks in the pre-season and Big Blue Nation has high hopes for the kid.

There are nice players across the Giants roster. Malik Nabers is a sensational sophomore who dominated at times in his rookie campaign.

Defensively, Kayvon Thibodeaux makes plays, as does Dexter Lawrence and rookie Abdul Carter - whom the G-Men selected at pick three out of Penn State.

Hopefully Wilson can keep New York dangerous (pardon the pun) until Dart shows enough and is ready to take over the reins mid-season. It’s a lot to ask but the Giants are due a successful quarterback stint, with many failures since Eli Manning left town.

Projected Record: 6-11.

Best Bet: Jaxson Dart offensive rookie of the year.

Philadelphia Eagles Season Preview

Head Coach: Nick Sirianni.

Last season: 14-3.

The Super Bowl champs return aiming to be just as dominant, just as potent and just as hard to beat in the big dance.

They dismantled Mahomes and KC in last season’s decider but have lost a couple of defensive starters.

Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and AJ Brown resume their positions which means Philly is going to take a power of beating again.

In a salary cap move, Darius Slay was released after six Pro Bowl nods as an Eagle, Josh Sweat departed that dominant defensive line and Brandon Graham retired after a glittering career in Eagle Green.

Fear not, though, as Philly still have young dominator Jalen Carter on the inside. He’s a candidate to be Defensive Player of the Year - such is his power!

The Eagles are well placed to repeat as champions.

Projected Record: 12-5.

Best Bet: Jalen Carter Defensive Player of the Year.

Washington Commanders Season Preview

Head Coach: Dan Quinn.

Last season: 12-5.

The Commanders broke out thanks to a glorious rookie from LSU, Jayden Daniels.

Daniels was explosive as a passer and runner and franked his Heisman-winning campaign for the Tigers of Baton Rouge.

He then played even greater in the playoffs before falling to the mighty Eagles. He did score 23 points, the problem? The defence gave up 55. Yep, 55.

It was the Commanders’ first winning season since 2016 and best record since 1991, so the hopes are high in the nation’s capital.

Projected Record: 11-6.

Best Bet: Commanders to Score 1+ Touchdown in every Regular Season Game.

NFL NFC East Winner 2025-26 Odds
