NFL 2025/26 - Aussies Abroad - Week 5

09/10/2025|SB Staff|NFL News

It was a tough weekend for the Australians in the NFL, with all but one player on the wrong side of the results in Week 5.

Despite the rough outings on the scoreboard, there were still positives and solid performances that Aussie fans can be proud of.

Here’s how every Australian went in Week 5 of the NFL season.

Jordan Mailata (Left Tackle, Philadelphia Eagles)

In Philadelphia’s first loss of the 2025 season, Mailata struggled to contain the Broncos’ quick edge rushers.

The towering left tackle was one of just two offensive players to feature on every snap but found it difficult to handle Nik Bonitto, who regularly disrupted the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles’ offensive line as a whole looked shaky, particularly after halftime, as Mailata played unlike his usual self on the left side.

Michael Dickson (Punter, Seattle Seahawks)

In a shootout at Lumen Field that produced nine touchdowns, Dickson made a small contribution to the action.

The Seahawks’ punter only had one attempt all game, which was a 38-yard kick, due to the offensive performance his team displayed.

Daniel Faalele (Right Guard, Baltimore Ravens)

Faalele logged 43 snaps for Baltimore in a struggling side that saw the Ravens only score 10 points against Houston.

The pass protection held up well, allowing just one sack, but the ground game faltered badly.

Star running back Derrick Henry was held to just 33 yards on 15 carries, with Faalele and the offensive line being dominated in the trenches.

Jeremy Crawshaw (Punter, Denver Broncos)

Crawshaw stood out as the only Aussie to win in Week 5, helping his team to a 21–17 victory over the Eagles.

Crawhsaw was outstanding, punting seven times for 328 yards, and was able to keep Philadelphia inside its own 20-yard line five times in the game.
