Illawarra Hawks vs Melbourne United Prediction
Wednesday, November 5, 2025, 7:30 PM AEDT - WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong
United finally lost a game!
As joyous as it would have been for the rest of the competition to see them finally drop points, we all know what happens when a heavyweight team rebounds, right?
Playing the Hawks at home is never an easy matchup, although it’s been tough going for the defending champs this season. Just when it looked like they were getting back on track, they copped a hammering from the Breakers on their home court.
United has more depth at its disposal, and that should be enough to cover the spread and inflict more pain on the defending champions.
Betting tip: United
NZ Breakers vs Adelaide 36ers Prediction
Thursday, November 6, 2025, 5:30 PM AEDT - Wolfbrook Arena, Christchurch
The Breakers are coming off a massive away win that could set them on the path for something awesome.
When the Breakers make shots, they are tough to beat, as they showed against the Hawks, where they put on an offensive clinic.
Repeating the dose against the 36ers looms as a much tougher challenge, but playing in front of a packed Christchurch crowd for the first time this season might prove the competitive edge to get over Bryce Cotton and his 36ers.
If they can contain the GOAT and spread the load on the perimeter, they should have the keys.
Betting tip: Breakers
Tasmania JackJumpers vs SE Melbourne Phoenix Prediction
Thursday, November 6, 2025, 7:30 PM AEDT - Silverdome, Launceston
Not the best start at the Silverdome this season for the Jackies! Luckily, they get a quick chance at redemption to right the wrongs at the same venue.
Coming up against a high-flying Phoenix outfit, though, looms as one of the biggest challenges in the NBL this season.
The JackJumpers have been okay this year, but the Nix are playing much better basketball as a unit. Nathan Sobey has been leading the way, dropping 22, 29, 33, and 21 points in his past four games. They have all been wins for the Phoenix.
The Phoenix have been well backed for a reason, and we think they’ll keep rolling.
Betting tip: Phoenix
Cairns Taipans vs Illawarra Hawks Prediction
Friday, November 7, 2025, 7:30 PM AEDT - Cairns Convention Centre, Cairns
Some joy at last for the Taipans after snapping a four-game losing streak. Jack McVeigh and Marcus Lee led the way on one of their old home courts, delivering a much-needed win for the Far North franchise.
The Hawks are on the quick turnaround from Wednesday night and are desperate to notch a few wins to get their season back on track.
Will they be able to burst the bubble of the home side, who’ll be riding high after a long-awaited win?
Betting tip: Hawks
Tasmania JackJumpers vs Brisbane Bullets Prediction
Saturday, November 8, 2025, 5:30 PM AEDT - MyState Bank Arena, Hobart
It’s been a weird start to the season for the Bullets. Only one win on their home court, yet they are among the top four sides when it comes to taking wins away from home.
So naturally, you think they’re a chance here when they venture down to the Apple Isle to take on the JackJumpers.
Having dropped a couple in a row before this weekend's games, it’s a crucial game for the Jackies as they look to stay in touch with the pointy end of the ladder.
Betting tip: JackJumpers
SE Melbourne Phoenix vs Melbourne United Prediction
Saturday, November 8, 2025, 8:00 PM AEDT - John Cain Arena, Melbourne
It’s Throwdown time again! And this one should be extra spicy!
Both sides occupy positions one and two on the ladder. United has just suffered its first loss of the season, and on the other side of the court, the Phoenix are flying.
United claimed the first Throwdown this season by a healthy 20 points, but the Nix are a vastly different team this time around.
We suspect United to be too strong, but it’s a close coin flip between the local rivals.
Betting tip: United
Adelaide 36ers vs Perth Wildcats Prediction
Sunday, November 9, 2025, 2:30 PM AEDT - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
This one has been in the diary for a long time.
Bryce Cotton against his old mob, on his new home floor. You don’t need much more than that to sell tickets if you’re the marketing department.
There’s no better place for the win-loss-win-loss Wildcats to start stringing a couple of games together than their old mate’s new backyard. But, that seems easier said than done.
Betting tip: 36ers
Sydney Kings vs NZ Breakers Prediction
Sunday, November 9, 2025, 4:30 PM AEDT - Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney
The Kings needed a big weekend, and boy, did they deliver.
Two big wins, none bigger than knocking off the previously undefeated Melbourne United. A result that catapulted them back into the top four.
They have the luxury of resting all weekend, while the Breakers will travel after their game on Thursday. If Xavier can Cook again and get supported by Delly and Kendric Davis as he was on Monday night, they shouldn’t have too many issues here.
Betting tip: Kings
