Grizzlies vs Kings Form and Head to Head

Tuomas Iisalo's Memphis opened the season 4-0, beating Utah twice and Sacramento once and coming from 12 down at Golden State to win 111-108 thanks to a 17-0 run.

Ty Jerome has been the engine, earning Western Conference Player of the Week after a career-high 45 against Utah, 28 against the Warriors and 31 in Sacramento, where he went 14 from 14 at the line. Rookie Cameron Boozer has added two double-doubles already.

The Kings opened 0-4 with losses to the Clippers, Portland, Memphis and a 130-103 hiding in San Antonio. Their three-point shooting sat at 28% through three games, and the defence keeps leaking big quarters.

In the only meeting so far, Memphis broke a 106-all tie with an 11-0 run late in the fourth quarter.

Grizzlies vs Kings Team News

Memphis had nobody on their injury report ahead of Thursday's trip to Portland. Zach Edey sat out the first meeting for left ankle management but was back for the win in Utah the following night.Sacramento are in worse shape.

Keegan Murray missed the first meeting with left ankle capsulitis and won't be re-evaluated until early November, Ben Simmons will miss the season after Achilles surgery, and backup bigs Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell remain out.

Precious Achiuwa has started in Murray's spot.

Grizzlies vs Kings Betting Markets

The head to head market will lean heavily towards the home side, which is why the line is the more interesting play here, and our NBA handicap betting guide runs through how it works.

Total points is worth a look as well, given Sacramento's opponents scored 124 a game across their first three outings and the first meeting cleared 230.

Player props have plenty of hooks too: Jerome's points after he scored 31 in the first meeting, Zach LaVine's after he hung 37 on Memphis, and a Boozer double-double after he posted 16 and 11 in the first meeting.

Grizzlies vs Kings Prediction: Our Pick

Our pick is the Grizzlies at the line. Memphis won the first meeting by 11 on the road without Edey, and they'll have him back for this one at home.

Sacramento's defence has been the problem all season, with 40-point quarters conceded in each of their first three games and a 27-point loss in San Antonio after that, while their own three-point shooting sat at 28% across their first three games.

Memphis also showed in that first meeting they can close, pulling away with an 11-0 run once the game was tied at 106 with under six minutes left.

The risk is LaVine, who scored 37 the last time these sides met, and a Kings side that will be desperate to stop the rot.
