MotoGP's Americas GP at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is the third race of the 2026 season, with the race scheduled for Monday, March 30 at 08:00 AEDT.
It will come after the races in Thailand and Brazil, both won by Marco Bezzecchi in convincing fashion. Will he be able to make it a hat-trick of victories, or will someone else challenge him for the title in the USA?
Quick Picks
Our pick: Bezzecchi to win
Value bet: Marquez as an each-way
Long shot: Bagnaia to finish on the podium
Betting Preview
MotoGP's Americas GP at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Texas is looming as a tricky, high‑altitude power‑track that usually favours the best Ducati and top Honda riders, with Marc Márquez very much in the race‑winner mix yet vulnerable to the speed‑heavy Italians.
The Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is 5.513 km long with 20 corners, featuring a long 1,200 m straight and roughly 41 m of elevation change. The layout includes a steep uphill run into Turn 1 followed by a sharp left‑hand kink, giving the track a dramatic and demanding character. For the MotoGP race at the United States Grand Prix, riders complete 19 laps over a total distance of 104.75 km (about 65.1 miles).
Fast straights, heavy braking zones, and a steep uphill run into Turn 1 make power and stability critical in this race. Ducati and Gresini‑Ducati packages tend to shine here, while some Yamaha and KTM riders struggle for top speed. Understanding how F1 strategy works can offer insights into how motorsport teams approach similar high-speed circuits.
Betting Markets to Watch
Given that he has won both races of the 2026 MotoGP season already, Bezzecchi will be an immediate favourite to do well in this upcoming race. In fact, in the form that has carried on from last season, the Italian has won his last four races. He didn't have the best of times at the USA GP last year, as he finished sixth, some 12 seconds behind eventual winner Francesco Bagnaia.
Bagnaia hasn't had the best of seasons so far, finishing 9th in Thailand before recording a DNF in Brazil. He'll want to come back strong in the USA, which makes him a potential value option.
Still, Marc Márquez is perhaps one who offers better value compared to the Italian in poor form. The Spaniard had a race to forget in Thailand as he had a DNF, but managed to record 4th in Brazil. In the USA, he has seven wins, with six between 2013 and 2018. His last win at the track was in 2021. Nonetheless, he cannot be counted out after winning 11-of-18 races last season.
Our Prediction
Check the latest Moto GP betting odds at Sportsbet.
Our prediction is that we think it is likely Bezzecchi will continue his spectacular form and win his fifth race in a row, especially as Aprilia's factory‑spec RS‑GP already looks like one of the fastest and most complete packages on the grid. That speed and consistency suggest the RS‑GP will be competitive through COTA's long straight and heavy braking zones, provided the team can keep the front tyre safe over 19 laps.
