How to Watch the World Series 2026 in Australia: Rays vs Brewers

World Series how to watch

One of the Milwaukee Brewers or the Tampa Bay Rays is about to win a World Series for the first time, because neither club has ever lifted the trophy.

Milwaukee won a franchise record 103 games, got past the Padres and then swept the two-time defending champion Dodgers to get here, while the Rays took down Cleveland in six.

The best part for fans down here is that first pitch lands at a very sociable 11am AEDT.

World Series 2026 Matchup: Brewers vs Rays

The Brewers had the best record in the majors at 103-59, which hands them home field advantage, so the series opens at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

They swept the Dodgers 4-0 in the NLCS and are back in the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982, when they went down to the Cardinals in seven games.

Tampa Bay topped the American League at 98-64 and beat the Guardians 4-2 in the ALCS, closing it out with a 7-3 win in Game 6. This is the Rays' third World Series after losing in 2008 and 2020, and the two sides have never met in the postseason before.

Jacob Misiorowski is expected to start Game 1 for Milwaukee, with Drew Rasmussen, a former Brewer, tipped to go for Tampa Bay.

The rest of the country needs to adjust a little. In Brisbane games start at 10am AEST, Adelaide fans tune in at 10:30am ACDT, Darwin is on 9:30am ACST and Perth gets an 8am AWST start, so it's breakfast baseball out west.
