Randwick Race 1 Tip

Tip: Eye Pea Oh

Capable mare who resumed with a very good third behind the smart Fire Lane at Warwick Farm, (1100m) on October 11. She ran on hard from 10th on the turn to be beaten a long neck. Her closing sections suggest she has returned in her best form and, from a good draw, might tuck away behind the speed and be poised to pounce. A safe racing tip is to bet each way.

Randwick Race 2 Tip

Tip: Dollar Magic

As usual, these restricted BM78 races are tricky affairs, and there’s three of them on this program. Dollar Magic looks the best bet in this 1200m sprint. She is very consistent and has drawn perfectly in barrier 3. At her most recent start she raced on the pace and was pipped late by the more than handy Silentsar. Up in class, but she will appreciate dropping 3kg.

Tip: Florino

Typical Highway with many chances. The horse that ticks most boxes is Florino, who will be ridden by the in-form Aaron Bullock. Florino comes to “town” from Scone after winning three of his four starts in the Hunter region, including a BM64 (1200m) at Newcastle in June when Bullock had the ride. Recent trial efforts at Scone indicate he’s returning in good form and is a solid racing tip from a good barrier.

Tip: Sequestered

Sequestered stands out as one of the better Randwick tips of the day. The James Cummings-trained mare is working his way through the classes nicely. Most recently she ran over the top of her rivals from ninth on the turn to win over 1400m at Randwick on October 14, running a slick 1min 21.24secs. Last time in, Cummings toyed with running her in the Australian Oaks so the 1600m looks perfect for this promising mare.

Randwick Race 5 Tip

Tip: Barber and Armed Forces

Significantly, trainer James Cummings has added blinkers to this colt. At his most recent start Barber ran on fairly well for sixth – in a blanket finish for the placings – behind King’s Gambit in the G2 Roman Consul (1200m) at Rosehill three weeks ago. Cummings has added blinkers to sharpen Barber’s attitude, and this looks a very winnable race for a colt of his class. Armed Forces has been racing in Melbourne and returns to Sydney off a very good third behind Maharba and Brave Mead at Moonee Valley (1200m). Look for him to run well despite a wide draw. The play here is Barber to win, Armed Forces each-way or place.

Randwick Race 6 Tip

Tip: Numerian

Numerian was set a task by trainer Annabel Neasham first-up in the G2 Hill Stakes (1900m) at Rosehill on October 7. It was his first run since the Ipswich Cup in June. Numerian got back but did well to make ground to finish ninth behind Montefillia. This looks a better race for Numerian and he looked good galloping with Zaaki between races last week. Not one to load up on, but if he can find his best form, he’s worth an each-way bet.

Randwick Race 7 Tip

Tip: Tom Kitten

Big Tom Kitten has let us down a bit lately, although we have been “talking” through our pockets because his performances haven’t been disappointing. Trainer James Cummings has been gradually building Tom Kitten’s distance this preparation, and it looks like he’s found the right level with the G1 Spring Champion Stakes over 2000m. Tom Kitten deserves to be one of the top Randwick tips on his latest form, although jockey Adam Hyeronimus will be desperate to get him away from the rail after drawing barrier 1.

Randwick Race 8 Tip

Tip: Espiona and Magic Time

We think this race, The Invitation, is covered by backing these two high-class mares. Espiona comes off a seventh behind Think About It in The Everest, beaten less than three lengths, so she will appreciate this drop in grade. The 1400m is an ideal distance for her. Magic Time pushed forward to sit on the pace before easily winning the G3 Nivison at Rosehill (1200m) on October 7. She’s very good and ready to peak. Happy to tie these two up in all wagers, including the Randwick Quaddie tips.

Randwick Race 9 Tip

Tip: Arctic Glamour

The Callander-Presnell (1600m) is a $1 million race for what looks to be a field of second-tier three-year-olds with a highest rating of 77! Importantly, there are some likely types working through the class, none more so than Arctic Glamour who was heavily backed before winning the Listed Reginald Allan Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on October 14. She has come a long way quickly, but looks a logical Randwick tip from barrier 1 and Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle.

Randwick Race 10 Tip

Tip: Gringotts

Gringotts finished his first campaign of five runs with two good wins at Sandown in March and April. Three starts – one in Melbourne and two in Sydney – have been honest without winning. However, he’s very fit now and gets to 1600m, which was a distance over which he won at Sandown in April. Tyler Schiller should have him behind the speed from barrier one and he looks a value Randwick tip to finish off the day. Bet each-way.
