Three Group 1 contests are on the bill, with the pick of the races being the Caulfield Guineas, Toorak Handicap and Might And Power Stakes. The schedule and race times are yet to be confirmed, but let’s take a look at some of the options for race fans…
Quick Picks
Our pick: Warwoven to win
Value bet: Blind Raise to win
Long shot: Somethings Burnin’ each-way

The 10 races on the card for the day are as follows (race times and order are TBD, but races are listed in order of highest prize pot):

- Weekend Hussler Stakes (Listed) - 1,400m - $200,000
- Three-Year-Old Fillies Plate (Unlisted) - 1,200m - $150,000
- BM80 Grand Handicap Final (Benchmark) - 1,700m - $150,000
As highlighted, the Caulfield Guineas is the main race of the day, so we’ve looked at it more closely below.
The race is a Group 1 set-weights race for three-year-olds over 1600m, and is regarded as a “stallion-making” contest because a colt’s victory can significantly increase his breeding value.
With that kind of prize pot on the line, it is worth seeing how this one stacks up against Australia's richest horse races.
Betting Markets to Watch
The early betting odds for this Group 1 have Warwoven as the main favourite. He brings the strongest recent Group 1 performance, having won the Golden Rose in late September by more than three lengths.
Rachel King retains the ride here, with barrier 6 giving a favourable draw in the middle. The biggest question over Warwoven is that this is a step up in distance, in fact, he has never raced at 1,600m.
Blind Raise also has a price that has value, given that he has performed well at Caulfield in past meets. He has won both starts in preparation for this race, taking the 1,400m Caulfield Guineas Prelude by 2.75 lengths in a dominant fashion.
That gives him proven form around this track, where he also has a favourable barrier 2 draw where he can save ground and secure an economical run.
His main question is whether he can also step up in distance, as he still has to prove himself over 1,600m against stronger opposition.
Tron Bolt could be an interesting option for the each-way market. He has proven experience over the distance, with his juvenile Group 1 JJ Atkins victory coming over 1,600m.
He returns to that trip after finishing fifth behind Warwoven in the Golden Rose, but barrier 11 could give him problems.
Our Prediction
Check the latest horse racing betting odds at Sportsbet.
Our top pick is Warwoven as the likely winner of the Caulfield Guineas, with Blind Raise as our value pick .
As long shots, Diameter and Somethings Burnin’ offer proven course-and-distance form after finishing first and second in the Stutt Stakes.
Diameter drew nine, while his stablemate has the more favourable inside starting position in three. Their mile experience is a meaningful distinction from the two leading market contenders.
