<p>On this week’s episode of Get On Extra’s Round Table, Lizzie, Simon and BZ sat down to discuss their favourite major Australian horse races.</p> <p>With so many massive and prestigious meets now on the Aussie calendar such as the Melbourne Cup, the Cox Plate, the Everest and more, it’s no easy task picking which is the biggest and best.</p> <p>Let’s take a look at what the team had to say when it came to choosing which major race is Australia’s best.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>Get On Extra: Rate The Majors</h2> <p>BZ preached the quality of the Cox Plate, but for him there is only one winner when it comes to Australia’s major horse races.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>“The best quality horses at a distance, which is a really strong test, I think the Cox Plate is Australia's best race.”</em></p> <p><em>“But in terms of the event and everything that goes together, because it's not just about the actual race, there's so much that goes into it. I still love the Melbourne Cup, like that's my favourite race. It's just what I absolutely love.”</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>It’s hard to argue with BZ, there’s a reason it’s the race that stops the nation after all.</p> <p>For Simon though, who knows which races mean the most, having sat in the saddle himself, he took the floor to sing the Cox Plate’s praises.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>“I think the Cox Plate, over history, has proven to be the best race,”</em> he said.</p> <p><em>“I think the depth of Cox Plate winners over time have just been absolutely littered with superstar winners. Might and Power, Sun Line, and Winx, winning it four times.”</em></p> <p><em>“We just talk about those horses in history, don't we? I wanted to win a Cox Plate, because I knew you were pitted against the best.
