The Masters Tips & Predictions 2024

05/04/2024|SB Staff|Golf Tips & Predictions

Widely considered to be the most prestigious and sought after golf championship on the planet, the US Masters is once again upon us.

Teeing off at its traditional home of Augusta National Golf Club on April 11 and running through until the 14th, the world’s top golfers are set to descend on Georgia to try and get their hands on that fabled green jacket.

As the first golf major of the season, the hype around the Masters is always real and this year is no different.

There are also a number of Aussie hopefuls making the trip stateside this year, but do any of them have a legitimate chance of capturing golfing glory?

Let’s find out. For the latest analysis, odds and betting tips for the 2024 Masters check our tips and predictions below.

The Masters 2024 Betting Tips – The Contenders

Scottie Scheffler

The current Masters favourite and number one contender is American Scottie Scheffer.

The 27-year-old won this major in 2022 and is the odds-on favourite to repeat that performance in 2024.

Rory McIlroy

Veteran Irishman Rory McIlroy also finds himself with a fair amount of favouritism heading into Augusta.

This is despite some underwhelming stats to start 2024, he has not finished in the top 10 of any of his four starts so far this year and his putting and shots approaching the green have left a lot to be desired.

There’s no doubt he is one of the greats, but at a price this short, he could be a trap and it’s probably best to look elsewhere for maximum value.

Jon Rahm

Defending champ Jon Rahm will attempt to become the first man since Tiger Woods in 2002 to claim consecutive green jackets.

The Spainard booked a four shot win last year and is a consistent top 10 finisher at Augusta, it’s hard to go wrong backing him at this event.

Brooks Koepka

Koepka has a score to settle at the 2024 Masters after leading for most of last year’s event before ultimately finishing runner-up to Rahm.

That was the second time he’s finished second at Augusta and everyone knows he has what it takes to deliver on the big stage thanks to his three PGA Championship and two U.S opens. So, is 2024 the year he finally makes it stick down in Georgia? Watch this space.

Jordan Spieth

Rounding out our list of the main contenders for the 2024 Masters is former prodigy Jordan Spieth.

He became the second youngest golfer to win this event back in 2015 when he was just 21 years old.

It’s been nearly a decade since he tasted glory at Augusta, yet Speith still finds his name near the top of the overall betting market, can he deliver?

Best Bet for the Masters – Brooks Koepka.

The Masters 2024 Betting Tips – Aussies in Action

Cameron Smith

Leading the Aussie charge at Augusta is the man with the mullet Cameron Smith. He has been Australia’s most successful golfer over the past few years and is our best chance at victory come April 11.

Jason Day

Following closely behind Smith is veteran Jason Day. This will be his 13th appearance at Augusta, but none has been more successful than his first, where he finished runner-up.

Over a decade removed from that Masters debut as a fresh faced 23-year-old, can Day challenge for the green jacket once again? Never say never.

Cameron Davis

Another Aussie and another Cameron, though not as high profile as Smith, there is no doubting that Davis can play.

The Sydney native will be making his second Masters’ appearance and with nothing to lose, he makes an ideal candidate to barrack for.

Adam Scott

Despite now being well over 40, one of Australia’s greatest ever golfing exports Adam Scott is still on tour.

He is still the only Aussie ever to win this major and although his best golf may be in the rearview mirror, with this much class and experience he is always a threat.

Min Woo Lee

From the old to the new. Min Woo Lee is one of the rising stars of Aussie golf. He is already somewhat of a cult figure thanks to his Instagram and Tik Tok presence and he will be aiming to top his T14 result at the 2022 Masters when he takes to the green in Augusta.

Jasper Stubbs

The final Aussie set to tee off at the 2024 Masters is but a baby. 21-year-old Jasper Stubbs is largely unproven in professional golf, but as a well of untapped potential, he’s definitely one to keep an eye on throughout the tournament.

Best Aussie Bet for the Masters – Cameron Smith.

The Masters 2024 Details

Dates: April 11-14, 2024.

Location: Augusta, Georgia, USA.

Course: Augusta National Golf Course.

Prizemoney: $18,000,000 USD.

The Masters 2024 Odds
