Singapore Grand Prix 2025 Tips and Predictions

03/10/2025|SB Staff|Formula 1 Tips & Predictions

The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 5 October, on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, one of the road races that comprise the F1 calendar. The race is expected to start at 22:00 AEST.

The 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix will be contested over 62 laps, with each lap approximately 4.94 kilometres in length, resulting in a total race distance of approximately 306 kilometres.

Max Verstappen is in red-hot form as he has won the last two races in what has been a difficult season for the Red Bull Racing driver. Can he make it three in a row and claim victory, or will McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris recover and take the chequered flag first? And will the weather have a say in this one?

F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025: Betting Preview

It is possible to interpret what may happen when the drivers next take to the track when examining their recent race form. Of course, each track is different and provides unique challenges. However, drivers can carry momentum with them and look to build on previous results.

The last five races to have taken place have featured the following outcomes:

Azerbaijan GP (21 Sep 2025): Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) won.

Italian GP, Monza (7 Sep 2025): Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) won.

Belgian GP (31 Aug 2025): Oscar Piastri (McLaren) won.

Hungarian GP (3 Aug 2025): Lando Norris (McLaren) won.

French GP (27 Jul 2025): Oscar Piastri (McLaren) won.

What about when looking at recent Singapore Grand Prix winners? There have been some names that haven’t featured as the champion on the podium recently. Between 2021 and 2024, the following occurred:

2024: Lando Norris (McLaren) won dominantly, leading all 62 laps. Max Verstappen finished second, and Oscar Piastri was third.

2023: Carlos Sainz Jr. (Ferrari) took victory, leading from pole. Lando Norris was second, and Lewis Hamilton third.

2022: Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) won, with Charles Leclerc second and Carlos Sainz third.

F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025: Betting Predictions

In the latest F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025 betting odds, Lando Norris is considered a favourite to win the race. The British driver won the race last season, and also finished second in 2023. He shares the label as favourite with teammate Oscar Piastri, who finished third in this race last season and has been enjoying an incredible season.

We like the odds for Max Verstappen to win this race, though, especially in terms of value that is being provided. He is on a run of two consecutive wins at the moment and appears to be handling his car positively.

With that in mind and the fact that he has never won this race in eight attempts, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he did just that this time around.

Here’s a couple of tips, though. Keep your eye out on qualifying positions here. This circuit is notoriously difficult in terms of overtaking, although a recent change to the track made that slightly easier. And watch out for the weather, too. Predicted thunderstorms in the area could work in Verstappen’s favour, with the Belgium born driver excellent in the wet.
