<h2>British Grand Prix</h2> <p>After a remarkable Austrian Grand Prix, it’s off to Silverstone in England, one of the Meccas of Formula 1 racing.</p> <p>George Russell, who was the beneficiary of a collision between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in Austria, will be looking for a second straight win at his home Grand Prix.</p> <p>The more likely scenario is that Verstappen and Norris resume their battle, which now has an extra bit of spice after that contentious clash that saw Verstappen finish 6th and Norris out of the race.</p> <p>Verstappen won here last year – he also won the one-off 70th Anniversary Grand Prix in 2020 – but he hasn’t dominated at Silverstone the way he has at other tracks.</p> <p>Lewis Hamilton is the king of Silverstone, having topped the podium eight times, the last in 2021.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>British Grand Prix Betting Tips</h2> <h3>Best Bet</h3> <p>Max Verstappen<strong> - </strong>$1.58<strong> (Outright Betting) or </strong>$1.57<strong> (Overall Qualification Winner)</strong></p> <p>Max topped qualifying last week and looked in position to win until the old Mad Max re-emerged and took himself and Lando Norris out of the race (ruining the Value Bet too!). I anticipate another Max v Lando duel in this one, with a Verstappen win or pole still a decent price.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Next Best</h3> <p>Pierre Gasly - $2.10<strong> (Points Finish)</strong></p> <p>Gasly has finished in the points – admittedly barely, either 9th or 10th – in the past four races. He seems reinvigorated, perhaps because of his ongoing battle with Alpine teammate Esteban Ocon, and while collisions have taken him out of the last two Silverstone races, this might be the year he sneaks into the top 10.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Value Bet</h3> <p>Lando Norris - $3.50<strong> (Outright Betting) </strong></p> <p>Once again this seems like the right value play given the speed and efficiency of Norris’ McLaren. Lando was a big chance in Austria until the collision with Verstappen ended his race.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Piastri Bet</h3> <p>Oscar Piastri - $2.20<strong> (Podium Finish) </strong></p> <p>We weren’t totally convinced of Piastri making the podium in Austria, but after the Max/Lando drama, Oscar ended up finishing second to George Russell. Subsequently this week, a Top 6 finish only gets you $1.10, so the Podium Finish bet is probably the way to go.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h3>Ricciardo Bet</h3> <p>Daniel Ricciardo - $2.75<strong> (Points Finish) </strong></p> <p>Ricciardo finished 9th in Austria, his second top 10 finish in three races. He also finished ahead of teammate Yuki Tsunoda for the third consecutive week.
