Pacquiao has no fight booked. Two 2026 bouts were announced and both fell through, and the Mayweather rematch has slipped to 2027.

Manny Pacquiao does not have a next fight booked. No opponent, no date, no venue.

He has not fought since drawing with Mario Barrios in July 2025, and two separate 2026 bookings have collapsed.

His team says they are working on an exhibition for the final quarter of 2026, but nothing has been announced.

Pacquiao was 46 and coming off a four-year layoff. A win would have made him the second-oldest world champion in boxing history, behind Bernard Hopkins. Plenty of observers thought he'd done enough.

That remains his only professional fight since 2021.

Why There's No Fight Booked

Two bouts were announced in 2026 and neither happened.

Ruslan Provodnikov was set for a 10-round exhibition on 18 April 2026 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. It came apart weeks out over a reported promoter payment dispute. A June rescheduling was floated and never materialised.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was the big one. Announced in February 2026 for 19 September on Netflix, it survived a public dispute over whether it would be an exhibition or a professional bout, then collapsed anyway.

Reporting has attributed the postponement to legal and contractual problems on Mayweather's side. Pacquiao Promotions CEO Jas Mathur says the rematch is now targeted at 2027.

A Rolando Romero fight was in genuine talks for January 2026 before the WBA ordered Romero to face his mandatory challenger. It was never officially booked.

Who Could Pacquiao Fight Next?

His team is trying to put something together for the final quarter of 2026, most likely an exhibition. Provodnikov has been named again as a possibility.

The Barrios rematch has lost its appeal. Barrios dropped the WBC welterweight title to Ryan Garcia in February 2026, so a second fight would carry no belt.

Names like Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis get mentioned in coverage, but there is no evidence of formal negotiations with any of them.

Manny Pacquiao's Record and Standing

Pacquiao is 62-8-3 with 39 knockouts and turns 48 in December 2026. He first retired in September 2021, then came back in 2025 at 46 to challenge for a world title.

He was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility and inducted at Canastota in June 2025, then fought for a world title a month later. 

He also contested the May 2025 Philippine Senate election and finished 18th, missing the 12 available seats.

The number that tells the story is his ranking. The WBC installed him at number one at welterweight after the Barrios draw in August 2025. Twelve months of inactivity later, he sits at number nine.

With nothing booked there is no fight market. What appears in the gap are futures: whether he fights again in a given year, who he faces, and whether the Mayweather bout ever happens.

Exhibitions and professional bouts are not the same product. Exhibitions often run shorter rounds, use heavier gloves and produce no official result, which changes what markets are offered and how they settle.

Pacquiao's team has been explicit that the likely Q4 return is an exhibition, so check the format before backing anything.
