Aus Open Women’s Final Sabalenka vs Zheng – Betting Tips

Match Betting Tip

As the reigning champion, Aryna Sabalenka is the overwhelming favourite in the match betting market.

The 25-year-old has blasted her way to back-to-back Aus Open Finals without dropping a set.

Not even Coco Gauff could get one off her in their semi-final match up. While 21-year-old Zheng has shown a lot of determination to advance to their first major final of her career, it would take a mighty upset to deny Sabalenka here.

They say you have to lose one to learn how to win one and unfortunately for Qinwen Zhang we think that will be the case here.

Prediction: Aryna Sabalenka

Set Betting Tip

As previously mentioned, Sabalenka is yet to drop a set at the 2024 Australian Open? Do we think that will change in the final against Zheng? Absolutely not.

The fact that Coco Gauff, one of the few players on tour that can match Sabalenka’s power game could not crack here doesn’t fill us with much confidence that the more agile, yet weaker, Zheng will be able to.

We’re back this to be a straight sets win and tournament for the Belarussian dynamo.

Prediction: Sabalenka 2-0.

Total Match Games Betting Tip

The over/under for this market is 20.5. For the overs to come in the scorecard at a minimum will have to read 7-5, 6-3.

While we think Sabalenka will win in straight sets, a close competitive first set is definitely not out of the question as Zheng will be fresh and firing on all cylinders.

There is value to be had backing the overs and, particularly if you think the first-time finalist can hold her own in the first set.

Prediction: Over 20.5 games.
