This one promises to be an absolute cracker between two in-form teams in the comp.

It’s a blockbuster for the 10-15 thousand people that will get into the Parade, as Norwood Oval watches the Western Bulldogs host the Brisbane Lions.

The brave Bulldogs, coming off a loss to the Dockers in Perth have played some awesome footy amid all the adversity and injury troubles they have endured throughout the early part of the season and find themselves just outside the top 8 with an even record.

The Lions are unbeaten and have kicked off their premiership defence in perfect style, sitting equal top of the ladder, but even they have admitted they aren’t playing as well as a 4-0 start reads on paper.

Despite the Dogs outs still, there are no shortage of superstars everywhere here for a Saturday evening spectacular.

Western Bulldogs vs Brisbane Lions Prediction & Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Although the Lions won the last battle, it’s the Dogs that have fared better in this matchup over the past five meetings. This includes that epic Semi - Final and that iconic celebration from a now ex-Bulldogs superstar.

The Dogs have navigated the first month of the season nicely, and have uncovered, not that it’s hard to keep him hidden, the best young player in the competition in their forward line in Sam Darcy.

Another bag of five goals on the weekend against Freo, The Lions premiership pair in Payne and Andrews will surely have their work cut out for them.

The Dogs' efficiency in front of goals has been one of the hallmarks of their season, and one of the reasons they have started much better than many experts forecasted.

The Dogs are currently the fourth most accurate team in the competition. They would love to get more out of Aaron Naughton who has struggled deluxe this season. As good as Darcy is, he can’t do it all on his own.

The Lions are at their best around the ball, ranking first in the league for clearances and inside 50s. This is again, playing well, but not at their absolute best. So if they’re this good now, imagine what they’ll be like when they really hit their stride.

They’ll be hoping that Kai Lohmann is over his ankle niggle and can take his place once again.

Expect another big job for Josh Dunkley, He’ll probably go straight to his 2016 premiership teammate Tom Liberatore who has continued his awesome start to the season.

Norwood Oval presents itself to a lot of end-to-end footy which should lead to a fun, high scoring game. The Lions should be good enough to get it done comfortably though.

First Goal Prediction

After a late start to the season due to a calf complaint and a cyclone, Charlie Cameron arrived into the season after kicking three against the Tigers.

If the ball comes in quick, as it should at Norwood and it comes to ground, Now that he’s had a big week last week, He should be off and running starting with the first goal of the game.

Betting tip: Charlie Cameron

Most Disposals Prediction

There are some serious ball winners all around the park in this one. Unsurprisingly, the respective captains in Lachie Neale and Tom Liberatore are leading the way for their respective clubs.

Norwood Oval presents an opportunity for quick and precise end to end ball movement. So, with that, we like Dayne Zorko here to rack up numbers off half back and linking up in the chains forward.

Betting Tip: Dayne Zorko 25+ disposals
