St Kilda Saints vs Port Adelaide Power Prediction - Round 18 2026
07/07/2026|Josh Jenkins|AFL Tips & Predictions
St Kilda host the Port Adelaide Power on Saturday afternoon for Round 18 of the AFL Season. This is an absolute must-win for Port Adelaide if they're to have any real chance of cracking the top 10, they currently sit three wins outside Wildcard at 15th on the ladder.
St Kilda are in a slightly better position, just one win behind 10th-placed Carlton, making this a vital fixture for both clubs to prove they're worthy of at least a Wildcard shot at the finals.
Port have momentum, having gone back-to-back for the first time this season with wins over Adelaide Crows and North Melbourne.
The Saints, on the other hand, absolutely demolished the lowly Bombers last week, with Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera racking up a career-high 46 disposals in a commanding 117-50 win at Marvel Stadium.
This one could go either way and with both teams clinging onto the chance to make something of the 2026 season, it should go right down to the wire.
One thing is for sure though, if Josh Carr’s men are going to make a run - the time has to be now.

St Kilda Saints vs Port Adelaide Power Prediction and Betting Tips
Head-to-Head Prediction
Two squads scrapping for a grip on the Wildcard places collide at Marvel.
The Saints made light work of Essendon last week, with Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Brad Hill going wild for 40-plus and a goal apiece, while Max Hall piled on 30-plus of his own as the Saints strolled to victory.
This assignment will be considerably tougher, given Port Adelaide have been one of the staunchest defensive units in the competition all season.
They held North Melbourne to a single behind in a tense final term last week to secure the win on home soil and send the Roos home winless from Adelaide Oval.
Jase Burgoyne kept his good mate Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera to 28 disposals earlier this season, so do not be shocked if that story repeats itself here.
At Marvel Stadium, the edge has to go to the Saints, but Port will make them work for absolutely everything, because that is exactly what Josh Carr's men have done all year.
Head-to-head prediction: St Kilda by 13 points.
First Goal Scorer Prediction
Mitch Georgiades is in fine form for Port Adelaide and has been their main man in attack all season.
This has, at times, been to their detriment as it makes their goal-scoring somewhat one-dimensional at times.
But if Port are able to get the ascendancy early through their elite defence, they’ll be looking straight for Georgiades to convert their first opportunity.
Betting tip: Mitch Georgiades.
Most Disposals Prediction
Despite Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera’s epic 46-disposal showcase last week against Essendon, we don’t think he’ll be topping the list this week.
The already massive target on his back just got even bigger and against Port’s elite defence he’ll have few opportunities.
Willem Drew is likely to have the job of limiting Nasiah’s involvements and Drew is undoubtedly one of the elite taggers in the game.
With this all in mind we’re tipping Port Adelaide’s Zak Butters to lead the disposal count when it’s all said and done.
Betting tip: Zak Butters.
