This game has always been a tipster's nightmare.

You never know which version of either team will rock up on the day, which makes Sunday afternoons clash at the Adelaide Oval interesting.

The Power, with big pre-season ambitions have started the season with just the one big win over Richmond sandwiched in between a pair of worrying defeats to Collingwood and ssendon.

The Saints also have a big win over Richmond to show so far in season 2025, but they also have an impressive win over Geelong to their name and are building some nice early season momentum with back-to-back wins. Franking their improvement despite the calls from many that they will be also-rans again this season.

This clash might give us some answers about these teams this year. Who is the real Port Adelaide in 2025 and is the St Kilda resurgence for real?

These sides met twice last year with both games being decided by less than a goal. Could we get another close one here?

Port Adelaide vs St Kilda Prediction & Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

As mentioned above, these are notoriously tough games to tip because they’re always close games giving some funny old results.

But if you’re a Power fan, you would be quietly confident heading into this one with your side having won 14 of the past 15 matches against the Saints.

The Saints have played some good football to start the year, really showing some steel despite their injury woes in the off season.

Saints skipper Jack Steele will have to pass a fitness test on his knee before he is locked in to take on the Power but he should get up to play.

The Power might also get some star-power back with superstar Zak Butters a fitness test away from lining up for his first game in 2025. Boy do they need him back pronto.

Ollie Lord’s impending return would also take the burden off Mitch Georgiades who was heroic last week but needs help, especially against the likes of All-Australian Callum Wilkie.

It’s a tough one to tip. History and the home ground suggests the Power, but it’s going to be close. Under a goal close again.

Betting tip: Port Adelaide

First Goal Prediction

The Saints got their sharpshooter in Cooper Sharman back last week in what was a big boost to the Saints previously depleted forward line. Two goals on return was a great return for the former Woodville West-Torren player. Back in Adelaide, he’s going to make an early statement and get the Saints rolling.

Betting tip: Cooper Sharman

Most Disposals Prediction

The safest bet of all time here is to go with Jack Macrae as he is top of the tops for most disposals in the league so far this year. But, I suspect Kenny Hinkley will be putting Willem Drew’s magnet right next to his for a hard tag all day. So if you wanted to go a little bit out there, back at Adelaide Oval and off a total stinker last week, Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee has a point to prove.

He’s made a habit of bouncing back in a big way throughout his career off a poor performance, I reckon he’s setting himself for a big one this week. Not just most disposals, but on the scoreboard as well.

Betting Tip: Connor Rozee 25+ disposals
