ANZAC Day footy heads out West as Fremantle hosts Adelaide for the annual Len Hall tribute match.

It’s been a choppy old start to the season for the Dockers. They find themselves sitting at 3-3 after dropping a game to Melbourne last week at the MCG and right in the middle of the pack.

The Crows on the other hand, proved their bona-fides as a contender this season when they took care of the Giants at home in a dour affair to get themselves back on the winners list.

Crows superstar Izak Rankine was again busy around the ball, while skipper Jordan Dawson has emerged as an early season challenger to Nick Daicos in the chase for the Brownlow.

The Crows will be sweating on the fitness on one of its three-headed monsters up forward with Darcy Fogarty facing a fitness test on his shoulder to be passed fit for this contest.

The Dockers will also be forced into a change at selection after midfielder Jaeger O’Meara injured his hamstring in the loss to the Demons.

It’s an important game for the Dockers to get back on track. With a tricky month ahead, they’d like to enter it ahead of the win/loss ledger.

Head-to-Head Prediction

Freo have dominated the head-to-head over the last few years, winning four of the past five meetings against the Crows.

The one was back in 2023 when the Crows were one of the form teams of the competition and scoring freely and for fun. Kind of like they are this year.

It should be a simple formula for the Crows to win the game then. The Crows have already topped the 100-point marker four times this season and are the highest-scoring team in the competition.

The Dockers were called out by their own coach Justin Lonmuir after their loss to the Dees for “not valuing the right things”. For the perception of their underrated and strong defence, The Dockers have conceded a ton three times in the first six matches.

Freo have a good backline, but the potency of the Crows forward line this year, coupled with the speed they move the footy from D50 might prove too irresistible.

The Crows franked their credentials last week against the Giants at home, but they do need a big road win if they are to be taken seriously as a force this year.

We’re backing them here to do just that.

First Goal Prediction

When teams prepare to play the Crows, they are starting to put plenty of time into Bean Keays now that he is rated elite among the medium forwards.

He has goals in every game this year and usually pops up early.

Betting tip: Ben Keays.

Most Disposals Prediction

The Dockers vice-captain Andrew Brayshaw averages 28.3 disposals a game in his last four games against the Crows.

He’s started the season strongly too. Back him in to go big again.

Betting tip: Andrew Brayshaw (30 disposals).
