10/11/2025|SB Staff|AFL Tips & Predictions

The weather in Melbourne certainly did its best to dampen our spirits, but nothing could take us away from the excitement of finals footy—or Ikon Park for that matter, where three out of the four games took place.

After three big days of action, we are down to just six teams remaining to battle it out for this years title.

The Lions packed their kicking boots for their trip to Melbourne to book a sixth consecutive Preliminary Final appearance, while the Roos continued on their merry way, notching their 25th straight win and finding themselves just two wins away from completing the perfect season.

While they enjoy the week off, The Hawks and Dees suit up for their second chance, with the Blues and Crows waiting to see if they can dump them out in straight-sets and keep their magical finals runs alive.

A big day at Ikon Park awaits!

For all the latest analysis, odds, and betting tips, check out our AFLW Sem Finals tips & predictions below.

Melbourne vs Adelaide Prediction

Saturday, November 15, 1:05 pm AEDT - Ikon Park, Melbourne

Two perennial heavyweights of the AFLW meet in finals footy yet again.

Doc Clarke’s coaching career lives on for at least another week after his Crows got over a St Kilda side that looked all out of petrol tickets.

If you thought Clarke’s impending exit might signal the end of an era for the Crows.. think again.

The swing of Zoe Prouse forward proved a masterstroke, while young gun Indi Rasheed showed she was built for the finals stage.

Then there’s the return of veteran Chelsea Randall, who hadn’t played since Round 5 but immediately made the Crows look more balanced and composed.

The Dees, meanwhile, will be kicking themselves after letting a strong early lead slip against the Lions.

Superstar skipper Kate Hore celebrated kicking her 100th career goal — just the second player in AFLW history to do so — and she’ll need to lead the line again with key forward Eden Zanker ruled out under concussion protocols.

The midfield battle will be fascinating. We’d love to see Marinoff vs Hanks go head-to-head.

The Crows are historically great in finals, but we’re expecting a strong Melbourne response. The Dees on the rebound this season have been something else.

Head-to-head prediction: Demons by 22 points

Betting tip: Paxy Paxman 20+ disposals & 1 goal

Hawthorn vs Carlton Prediction

Saturday, November 15, 7:15 pm AEDT - Ikon Park, Melbourne

The Hawks are in serious danger of being bundled out in straight sets.

After going goalless against the Roos, and now facing a Carlton side that piled on 60 points against the Eagles in awful conditions, they’ll need to find answers quickly.

Highlighting the issue, Hawthorn has averaged just 29.6 points against top-eight teams this year. They’ll need more avenues to goal than just Anie McDonagh.

The Blues, meanwhile, were singing and dancing in the rain last Saturday, marking their return to finals footy with a thumping win over the Eagles. With a full squad to pick from, they’ll see the Hawks as a challenge, but one they can absolutely overcome.

The Hawks narrowly got over the Blues way back in Round 2, on a night when both teams struggled in front of goal at a windy Frankston.

But right now, the Hawks look to be stalling at the wrong time of year, while the Blues are peaking and ready to take another scalp.

This should be a nail-biter.

Head-to-head prediction: Blues by 7 points

Betting tip: Erone Fitzpatrick first goal

AFLW 2025 Premiership Odds:
