
The AFLW season is going down to the wire, with the race for the minor premiership and top eight both still well and truly alive.
Adelaide and Melbourne are vying for top spot and will both be desperate to win their respective games. While a whole host of teams will be staking their claim for a final’s place as the AFLW enters its penultimate round.

Gold Coast vs Greater Western Sydney Prediction
Friday, October 27, 7:45pm AEDT – Heritage Bank Stadium
Gold Coast lead GWS in nearly every head-to-head metric as well as sitting eight places above them on the AFLW ladder.
Also, keep an eye out for golden girl Jamie Stanton who has 14 goals for the Suns this season.

Melbourne vs Fremantle Prediction

Top of the table playing second from bottom? This one will be a walk in all AFLW tipping comps this weekend. Melbourne should win and win well at that.

Essendon vs Carlton Prediction
Saturday, October 28, 3:05pm AEDT – Essendon Recreation Reserve
A huge game in the context of the eight. Carlton who sit on the precipice of the final’s places will be desperate for a win to stay in the hunt. This seems like the perfect time to back the underdog.

St Kilda vs Brisbane Prediction

The high-flying Brisbane Lions can all but end St Kilda’s final’s aspirations with a win here. Unfortunately for the Saints, we’re tipping them to do just that.

West Coast vs Western Bulldogs Prediction
Saturday, October 28, 5:05pm AEDT – Lathlain Park
Two western clubs that have been heading south on the ladder. The Bulldogs are winless this season and the Eagles aren’t much better off.
This will likely be the Doggies best chance to win a game this season, unfortunately it probably won’t happen.
Prediction: West Coast.

Richmond vs Geelong Prediction
Saturday, October 28, 7:15pm AEDT – Princes Park
Geelong and Richmond are currently both on 16 competition points, with only percentage the difference between the two sides.
The winner of this one will go a long way towards making the eight, while the loser may have to start planning their Mad Monday celebrations.
Prediction: Geelong.

Sydney vs Collingwood Prediction

Collingwood’s AFLW side may not be as dominant as their male counterparts, but they’re still sitting pretty in sixth. They can all but guarantee a place in the finals with a win here.

Adelaide vs North Melbourne Prediction

This clash has huge ramifications for both the minor premiership race and the potential makeup of the top four.
The Crows and Kangaroos sit second and third respectively, meaning this will likely be the match of the round.

Hawthorn vs Port Adelaide Prediction

Wrapping up round 9 of the AFLW season are two teams with only pride to play for. Both Hawthorn and Port Adelaide are out of finals contention and will simply be just going through the motions in this one.
The Power presents decent value in the H2H market to spring an upset and are worth keeping an eye on.
