AFLW Tips and Predictions - Round 11 2025

21/10/2025|SB Staff|AFL Tips & Predictions

It’s getting to the pointy end now.

Positions in the top eight are well and truly up for grabs, with a two-week sprint to the finish line set to make or break teams who have, at times, looked like contenders this season.

The Dees bounced back, the Hawks suffered a shock loss, and the Saints won their sixth game in a row, but again lost some key players to injury.

On the flip side, after doing so much right for much of the season, are the Blues now at risk of missing the Finals altogether?

It’s going to be a big finish to season 10 of AFLW, and it starts with a Showdown on Friday night.

Let’s crack into Round 11!

For all the latest analysis, odds, and betting tips, check out our AFLW Round 11 tips and predictions below:

Adelaide vs Port Adelaide Prediction

Friday, October 24, 7:35pm AEDT - Norwood Oval, Adelaide

The Power are fighting to finish the 2025 season on a high.

They delivered one of the upsets of the season last Friday, putting Hawthorn away rather comfortably in the end.

They roll into a Showdown now, eager to parlay that form into a first-ever win over their crosstown rivals.

While no one is coming close to beating North this year, the Crows were largely viewed as one of the best challengers to date and would be bitterly disappointed by their outing. Especially their first quarter.

If they drop this one, then the pressure is really on to see if they make it in Doc Clarke’s last season in charge.

Head-to-head prediction: Crows by 15 points

Betting tip: Shineah Goody 20+ disposals

Sydney vs West Coast Prediction

Saturday, October 25, 1:05pm AEDT - Henson Park, Sydney

Straight back to earth for the Swans.

Their finals fate is still in their own hands, but they probably need to win twice from here to secure their spot. But is the luxury of being at home cancelled out by coming up against Daisy’s Eagles? The competition darlings and season's best story? Yes, probably.

Once teams break the Swans’ first line, they struggle to contain them and arrest the momentum.

The Eagles go, and when they go, they go hard.

They appear to be marching into their first finals, but the Swans have too much star power on their team to suggest that they are done yet this season.

Head-to-head prediction: Swans by 21 points

Betting tip: Chloe Molloy first goal + Lucy McEvoy 20+ disposals

Essendon vs Hawthorn Prediction

Saturday, October 25, 3:05pm AEDT - Windy Hill, Melbourne

Two famous old rivals at opposite ends of the ladder.

The Hawks are coming off a surprising loss to the Power last week. Although, if you look at the season, despite the winning record and ladder position, you could say it had been coming for them.

The Hawks might already have one eye on next week, where they face the Roos in the final round of the season. So, they’ll be looking at this one as a final chance to get their game in order for a finals run.

A big win here would secure the double chance.

The Dons are counting down the weeks until this season is done and will need to reflect on how they let such a bright start slip away so dramatically.

Head-to-head prediction: Hawks by 43 points

Betting tip: Aileen Gilroy 15+ disposals & anytime goal

Fremantle vs Richmond Prediction

Saturday, October 25, 5:05pm AEDT - Fremantle Oval, Perth

The Dockers are finishing with a flurry as we always thought they would.

The problem is… their percentage might be the thing that prevents them from sneaking a finals spot.

Which would ultimately be a fail for such a well balanced and credentialled team that they are, but it’s still a great effort to have pulled it back from where it was going.

The Tigers recorded their second win in three weeks. They were led from the front exceptionally by skipper Katie Brennan who has found some great form over the past month to finish the season on a high.

It will be a tall order going over to Freo to take on the in-form Dockers, but these Tigers will prove they have some of their bite back.

Head-to-head prediction: Dockers by 15 points

Betting tip: Mim Strom 25+ disposals

Brisbane vs Melbourne Prediction

Saturday, October 25, 7:15pm AEDT - Brighton Homes Arena, Ipswich

Match of the round is up in the sunshine state between two of the powerhouses.

The Dees bounced back from their all-round horror weekend in WA with a comprehensive win down at Casey. They piled on the points against the Swans and showed off all their front-half potency.

Coming up a potentially Bre Konen-less Brisbane backline would have them excited about kicking another score as they push for a top -two finish.

The absence of the Lions best player this year, Courtney Hodder through the middle and around goal will also play into the Dees’ favour.

The Lions have won five in a row now, and are firing to be the team that could challenge the Roos come the knockout stuff very soon.

The midfield battle excites us here. It should be a cracker.

Head-to-head prediction: Lions by 5 points

Betting tip: Ryleigh Wotherspoon anytime goal

Western Bulldogs vs Geelong Prediction

Sunday, October 26, 1:05pm AEDT - Mars Stadium, Ballarat

Just as quickly as the Cats got themselves back in with a shot of making a late play for it, they let it slip. It appears like it’s one of those seasons for the Cats, which would be extremely disappointing.

The Dogs are trending upwards. Scores of 67, 67 and 72 in their past three games, they have found some avenues to scoring that weren’t there at the start of the season. Something which would be pleasing Tam Heyett immensely.

Can they finish the Cats off once and for all by bringing their scoring party to Mars?

Head-to-head prediction: Dogs by 14 points

Betting tip: Big Win Little Win - Dogs 1-39

North Melbourne vs St Kilda Prediction

Sunday, October 26, 1:05pm AEDT - North Hobart Oval, Hobart

I don't know about you, but these Roos are sitting pretty after consecutive win number 22..

We’re running out of contenders on who might be able to stop them too, which is worrying with two weeks to go before finals.

We’ve commented almost weekly how far ahead of the field they are, and scarily, it seems to be lengthening too as the weeks go on to the point that they are talking about resting some players ahead of finals.

That legitimately, might be any opposition's only chance of getting them.

The Saints are on a hot streak, extending their winning run to six games in a row. The only thing preventing them from really taking it right up to the Roos is their lack of a full squad to pick from after picking up MORE injuries on the weekend.

They were held together brilliantly by Serene Watson and Paige Trudgeon in defence. They will need to bring that inspired effort and more to take down the Roos and their power… lets face it, just about everywhere on the ground.

They’re poised to play finals for the first time in their history, the Saints. How much can they hold the fort here against the Roos to ensure they can get some of their key pieces back for a significant finals run?

Roos to make it 23 and inch closer and closer to the record of most wins ever by any VFL/AFL/AFLW team.

Head-to-head prediction: Roos by 23 points

Betting tip: Hannah Priest 2+ goals

Carlton vs GWS Giants Prediction

Sunday, October 26, 3:05pm AEDT - Ikon Park, Melbourne

The Blues aren’t going to muck this up are they?

Two losses on the bounce, and now their spot in the top eight is in jeopardy.

They get lucky here, as they host the struggling Giants in their annual Carlton Respects game… But this group will know there is recent history against the Giants W team and dropping games to them that they were not supposed to.

Matthew Buck would have been pulling his hair out all game last Saturday night as his Blues missed chance after chance to convert.. With the players admitting that they blew a golden chance there and now need to turn it around.

Sunday is a massive day for the club with it being the annual Carlton Respects round.. So it’s a big day for the Blues on and off the field with the season on the line.

Head-to-head prediction: Blues by 11 points

Betting tip: Maddy Guerin 20+ disposals & Sophie McKay 2+ goals

Gold Coast vs Collingwood Prediction

Sunday, October 26, 4:05 pm AEDT - Bond University, Queensland

Sorry Bond Uni.. but you got a spoonbowl as your only taste of AFLW action on your campus this year.

Both these sides have found scoring difficult this year. The Suns, for the second time in four weeks, failed to find the middle of the big sticks while the Pies have also struggled to kick more than one goal a game on two occasions over the last month.

In a grim season for both teams, one will be leaving this one with some much needed late season nourishment.

Head-to-head prediction: Pies by 19 points

Betting tip: Mattea Breed 24+ disposals

AFLW 2025 Premiership Odds:
