03/11/2023|Nathan Brown|AFL Tips & Predictions

The final round of the AFLW season is upon us, with round 10 being the last stop before 18 teams become just eight.

The minor premiership, race for the eight and wooden spoon are all still alive heading into the final round of the competition.

A slew of upsets and thrillers last week have guaranteed all of the above will go down to the wire, ensuring round 10 of this AFLW season will be the most entertaining yet.

So, when the dust settles, who will sit at the top of the table? Who will be at the bottom? And who will be playing finals footy? Our AFLW tips and predictions for round 10 are below.

Gold Coast vs Essendon Prediction

Friday, November 3, 7:45pm AEDT – Great Barrier Reef Arena

Essendon have already booked their place in the eight, but Gold Coast can drop out if they lose here and results go against them.

The impetus will be on them to win this one to secure their place in the finals and we think they’ll do just that.

Prediction: Gold Coast.

Betting tip: Tara Bohanna first goal scorer.

Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne Prediction

Saturday, November 4, 1:05pm AEDT – VU Whitten Oval

The Doggies clocked their first win of the season last week, sending AFLW tipping comps into disarray. Can they end an otherwise disappointing season with back-to-back victories? Against the third placed Roos? No chance.

Prediction: North Melbourne.

Betting tip: North Melbourne 1-39.

Port Adelaide vs Greater Western Sydney

Saturday, November 4, 3:05pm AEDT – Alberton Oval

Two sides who have been out of contention for some time now. There’s only pride on the line here, serious coin flip territory.

For dead heat’s we always back the team playing at home, so Port, you’re up.

Prediction: Port Adelaide.

Betting tip: Port Adelaide 1-9.

Geelong vs Hawthorn Prediction

Saturday, November 4, 5:05pm AEDT – GMHBA Stadium

Geelong can book a date with the eight if they win here, while Hawthorn have nothing to play for.

We’re tipping the Cats to be playing finals footy at full time of this one.

Prediction: Geelong.

Betting tips: Jacqueline Parry most goals.

West Coast vs Adelaide Prediction

Saturday, November 4, 5:05pm AEDT – Mineral Resources Park

The Crows are flying high after their last-minute win over top four rivals North Melbourne last week. Niamh Kelly was the heroine, slotting the decisive goal.

Look to her and most of her teammates to notch a few more majors this week against a West Coast team paying 34.00 (at the time of writing) in the H2H market.

Prediction: Adelaide.

Betting tip: Adelaide 40+

Brisbane vs Melbourne Prediction

Saturday, November 4, 7:05pm AEDT – Brighton Homes Arena

Brisbane choked last week against St Kilda to put their top four spot in jeopardy and now have to face top of the table Melbourne.

Still, they have a very real chance of costing the Dees the minor premiership, especially since this one is being played in Queensland.

That being said, we’re backing Melbourne to sneak home here and potentially cost the Lions a top four spot, should Essendon win their match.

Prediction: Melbourne.

Betting tip: Line – Brisbane (+8.5)

Carlton vs St Kilda Prediction

Sunday, November 5, 1:05pm AEDT – IKON Park

Carlton’s race is run after their loss to the Bombers last time out all but ended their finals hopes.

The Saints on the other hand are still in the hunt after their upset over Brisbane last week and with momentum firmly on their side, we’re tipping them to pick up the points in this one.

Prediction: St Kilda.

Betting tip: Jess Wardlaw most goals.

Collingwood vs Richmond Prediction

Sunday, November 5, 3:05pm AEDT – Victoria Park

Collingwood’s camp has been rocked by a serious knee injury to key defender Ruby Schleicher. How her absence affects the Pies remains to be seen, but they’ll need to win without her if they want any hope of making the eight.

Prediction: Collingwood.

Betting tip: Collingwood 1-9.

Fremantle vs Sydney Prediction

Sunday, November 5, 5:05pm AEDT – Fremantle Oval

The final game of round 10 of the AFLW and coincidently the whole AFWL regular season sees Freo and Sydney go head-to-head.

The Swans are sitting precariously in eighth place, and will no doubt be thankful they get to play a Dockers team out of the running in this must win match.

Prediction: Sydney.

Betting tip: Big win little win - Sydney 1-39.

AFLW Premiership Odds
