Just four teams remain in the hunt to be crowned AFLW Premiers in season ten, and we’ve got two cracking matchups to decide who will qualify for the big day next Saturday.

Both the Roos and the Lions had the week off and waited to see who would come through to meet them. The Dees bounced back thanks to some Kate Hore brilliance, while the Blues blitzed the Hawks and bounced them out in straight sets again.

The final quest to reach the big dance is here. Let’s take a look at it all.

North Melbourne vs Melbourne Prediction

Saturday, November 22, 3:05 pm AEDT - Ikon Park, Melbourne

The best two teams from the home and away season face off for a place in the Grand Final.

The Roos are two games away from completing the perfect season. They’ve got here almost by stealth, then flexed again as they held Hawthorn goalless in their first final.

The Demons were the first team the Roos beat in their active run of 25 games unbeaten back in September 2024. They haven’t played them since… how they’d love to be the ones to end the streak.

They will need to be led by Kate Hore again, who was at her brilliant best against the Crows, and they will be boosted by the return of Eden Zanker in the front half.

Melbourne has the firepower up forward and the quality in the midfield to match the Roos, but you’d need to be very brave to tip against North now if you haven’t already done so this year.

Head-to-head prediction: Roos by 20 points

Betting tip: SGM: Shelley Heath + Megan Fitzsimons 20+ disposals each & Ryleigh Wotherspoon anytime goal

Brisbane vs Carlton Prediction

Saturday, November 22, 7:35 pm AEDT - Brighton Homes Arena, Springfield

Another final for a Carlton team up in Brisbane, is it?

The Blues AFLW side is box-office and will hold zero fear about travelling after ripping Hawthorn to shreds in the semi-final, complete with dancing and faux injury goal celebrations all the way to Preliminary Final weekend.

Having already beaten the Lions once this year in Brisbane, no less it gives the Blues another chance to attack without fear.

The star-studded Lions, who have been the benchmark of the competition for years, are about to compete in their sixth straight preliminary final. It highlights their dominance as the yardstick over the first ten seasons of this competition.

They will be well rested and should have a full list to pick from, giving themselves another shot at the Roos on the big day and a chance to seal the Queensland quadruple crown in 2025.

This will be fantastic.

Head-to-head prediction: Lions by 11 points

Betting tip: Mia Austin 2+ goals
