Oh, the poor Crows. Robbed once again (right in front of everyone!) and for the fourth time in two years, the AFL has had to apologise to them for a wrong decision that cost them the game.

Despite not getting over the line against the Suns in what was one of the games of the year so far, They have proved themselves over the first four weeks that they are a good team in 2025.

And now, as they welcome the entire league back to South Australia, they host Geelong who themselves are back on the winners list after brushing aside the Demons on their home track.

Adelaide Oval shouldn’t hold any fears for the Cats though, particularly after their last visit to the ground in September where they blew Port off the park. The Cats have had the better of the Crows in recent times, winning four of the last five meetings, but these Crows present a different challenge in their current form.

This one should be fun, end-to-end and high scoring!

For the latest team news, analysis, odds and betting tips, check out our Crows vs Cats prediction and preview below.

Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats Predicted Teams

Adelaide Crows Predicted Team

B: Josh Worrell, James Borlase, Rory Laird

HB: Wayne Milera, Mark Keane, Max Michaelanney

C: Lachie Sholl, Jordan Dawson, Isaac Cumming

HF: Ben Keays, Riley Thilthorpe, Izak Rankine

F: Darcy Fogarty, Taylor Walker, Alex Neal-Bullen

Foll: Reilly O’Brien, Jake Soligo, James Peatling

Int: Dan Curtin, Sid Draper, Matt Crouch, Mitch Hinge, Luke Nankervis

Geelong Cats Predicted Team

B: Tom Stewart, Sam De Koning, Conor O’Sullivan

HB: Lawson Humphires, Mark Blicavs, Zach Guthrie

C: Bailey Smith, Patrick Dangerfield, Ollie Dempsey

HF: Brad Close, Jeremy Cameron, Shaun Mannagh

F: Gryan Miers, Shannon Neale, Tyson Stengle

Foll: Rhys Stanley, Max Holmes, Tom Atkins

Int: Ted Clohesy, Ollie Henry, Jack Bowes, Oisin Mullin, Mark O’Connor

Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats Prediction & Betting Tips

Head-to-Head Prediction

Adelaide is the highest-scoring team in the competition, averaging a whopping 19.2 goals per game across the first month of the season.

Riley Thilthorpe, the top of the three-pronged tall forward line for the Crows is leading the Coleman with 14 goals to his name already while fellow tall timber Darcy Fogarty and Taylor Walker have 12 and 10 to their name respectively.

They’ve filled their team with elite kickers on every line and chain the ball from defence to attack by foot to fuel their scores.

The Cats themselves too have been able to find a spread of goalscorers to put up some good scores, sitting fourth overall for scores for this season.

Expect the Crows to not allow the Cats to possess the ball as much as the Dees allowed them to on Friday night. The Cats took 165 marks, with their back six combining for 69 of them, which allowed them to get the transition game going and controlled the game from start to finish.

The Crows should have the upper hand in the midfield, currently leading the league for centre clearances with the Cats sitting down at 10th. If they get Matt Crouch back after he was managed last week - the master of the first possession from the ruck tap, It will go a long way in moving the Crows forward to its potent forward line.

This should be fun. The Crows are really good to watch, but Chris Scott always has a plan and will come prepared. I’m still going with the Crows though because you can’t match that firepower up forward. And of course, revenge from last week will be well on their mind too.

Betting tip: Adelaide Crows H2H

First Goal Prediction

Cats superstar must circle this game as soon as the fixture comes out every year. He’s had his way with the Crows defenders recently, kicking 13 goals from the past four games against them.

Adelaide’s defence has been really good so far this year, but this is their first big challenge against a superstar key forward this year. If Jezza gets a start, he usually doesn’t stop

Betting tip: Jeremy Cameron

Most Disposals Prediction

The Crows’ rise has come largely from the organic growth from the B-graders on its list. Superstar captain Jordan Dawson has started the year in sparkling form and is a prime candidate to receive some attention this week from the Cats.

Young Crow Jake Soligo has solidified his place in the Crows on-ball brigade this year, averaging 27.50 disposals across the first month. With attention going to be elsewhere, Soligo should be set for a big day again.

Betting Tip: Jake Soligo 25+ disposals

Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats Match Details

Date: Thursday April 10th

First Bounce: 7:40 PM, AEDT

Location: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

How to watch: Channel 7, Fox Footy/ Kayo Sports
