SEMENTE DA PAZ (4) has been given a freshen-up after finishing sixth over 1500m here last start and looks capable of improving back to a more suitable assignment. Can rebound if producing his best. THE GOOD FRIEND (3) was sixth on the dirt over 1900m two runs back before again finishing outside the placings on turf over 1400m. Returns to dirt, where he performs better and looks well placed to be competitive. SAVIGNON (2) won well three starts ago at this track but was below that effort when fourth over 1300m last time, beaten 5 lengths. Maps nicely in this and is capable of returning to winning form with a more consistent effort. SANDBANK (1) disappointed when fifth over 1300m here last outing, but is better than that and should be on speed from the outset, giving herself every chance to improve.

Gávea Racecourse, known officially as the Hipódromo da Gávea, is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is run by the Jockey Club Brasileiro which hosts race meetings from Sunday to Tuesday each week. The grass track is a replica of the Paris track, the Hipódromo de Longchamp.
