Track was rated a soft 6 on Friday morning and very little if any rain predicted by the BOM over the weekend so suggest we're on the better side of soft for this meeting with a bit of depth to it. Open race to kick off the day. STILL RISING was costly first up at Taree, but away from heavy and over more ground here she can improve at odds ($34). VONDEL was much better kicking off her second prep and gapped third there, $4 opening fave about right. SIRIUS MOSS ran on fresh then settled handy and battled on okay second up, can peak now, saving at $14. HELLFIGHTER, PROPANE, HELICONIA and SATONO JASMINE all come through the same race, the latter two settled furthest from the lead there on a leader's day and may improve. CLASSIC TWO was too keen last time, five weeks off and up in trip? Good enough, but needs manners to be in check. WHAT A GENT has a case, but has had a few goes.

About Wyong Racecourse
Wyong Racecourse is on the central coast of New South Wales, an hour’s north of Sydney’s CBD. The track is operated by the Wyong Race Club. The Wyong Gold Cup is run on the 1600-metre-track in late August/early September each year.
