About Wangaratta Racecourse

Wangaratta Racecourse is located about 250 kilometres northeast of Melbourne in the country town of Wangaratta. Racing began at Wangaratta Racecourse in 1845, with the feature event, the Wangaratta Cup, dating back to 1904. It was also the first racecourse in Victoria to hold an ‘all-grey horse’ racing event.
