CONFESARA (5) has been beaten by a couple of handy types in both of her starts to date, and cops a good draw this time. She can settle close to the pace and get the job done this time. On top for us. MAZINO (6) has raced herself into good form and was only run down late as the favourite at Te Aroha nearly 6 weeks ago. She has options from a handy gate and is the main threat to the top pick here. DEPRIVE (1) gave a good sight in front for a long time when finishing a game third at Ellerslie 3 weeks ago. He has 100m less to travel this time, and can take them all the way. THE MAILMAN (2) won a trial prior to finishing third fresh up at New Plymouth just over 4 weeks ago. He has a better draw this time and can figure in the top 3. ELUSIVE FAITH (7) was a sound runner-up on a heavy track when making her debut, and then just battled at Tauherenikau nearly 6 weeks ago. She has had a gear chance since then, and is worth including in all top 4 combos.
