More of a contest here with three coming through the same Warrnambool carnival race so we have something to really latch onto. It's worth knowing that the horses that finished 5th, 8th and 12th from that race have won their next start so it looms as a very handy form race anyway. QUEEN CHRISTINE started fave and went close on May 5, only being collared very near the post. She is very much allowed to be fitter for that return and clearly handles a wide range of conditions. Easy to see her progressing today. Stablemate DRECK was also returning and had some support at longer odds ($15 to $10). We note he was held at bay over summer - twice - by UPOLU but was able to turn tables on the Jamie Edwards 3YO at the 'Bool, albeit only by a mere length on the Heavy deck. Easy to see all three getting a win on the board before too long but presumably only one of them here and that's QUEEN CHRISTINE for me. SHADES OF STARDOM has shown some form over his time but gives away race fitness to the others. He wouldn't totally shock if winning - he has won his latest two jumpouts - but we are allowed to fall over from surprise if anything else got up.
