Goulburn was rated Soft 5 on Tuesday when acceptances were taken. No significant rain in the forecast but raceday is set to hit only a very wintry 10 degrees so that's not exactly drying weather. Maybe we could edge to a Good 4, and indeed we did just that on race morning. The day begins with a 1500m BM66. 8 and 4 to do the leading. OMNIC is stuck on one win but showed nice improvement 2nd-up and ought to secure a perfect trail in running today.
