Other rules:Only final field runners subject to deductions
Selections: 9-2-4-3
On pace runners, 1, 7, 8, 9, 10. SCURO STAR begins a second campaign after a trial at home, Randwick. This trip suits. NAVY STEEL has been freshened since a Muswellbrook run which was better than it appears on paper. OUTBACK ANGEL will appreciate a drop in class after a second up Canberra run. EDGE OF MIDNIGHT steps back in distance and aided by a claim for Siena Grima, he can cope. EX WIFE led throughout over 1100m at Port Macquarie. Similar tactics can be adopted. The Canberra race won by BALLYHOO has produced strong form! ZOUKERINO was honest at Nowra and stepping back slightly in distance shouldn't be regarded as a minus today.
