First Group 1 of this year's Winter Racing Carnival takes place on Saturday with the running of the Doomben 10,000. Track rated a soft (7) at acceptance time on Wednesday morning, the forecast going forward suggests a further 20mm is possible in the lead-up & including race day itself, monitor closely. Having a crack at one at hopefully good odds each-way in this opening event being BOYS NIGHT OUT who caught the eye late fresh & has a solid second-up record, would like to see Nash get him into a spot to strike from the decent gate, wide barriers have seen him give away big starts of late.

Doomben Racecourse is operated by the Brisbane Racing Club. It is located close to Brisbane's city centre in the suburb of Ascot. The first race meeting was held at Doomben Racecourse in 1933. It hosts some of Australia's most prestigious race meetings each year.
