Bit of rain around Saturday leading into a dry Sunday as I type on Wednesday so looking forward to maybe a soft 5 start and a good 4 on the whole. The only non black-type race kicks us off, but it's a cracker. A newcomer to the McEvoy stable, JARBARDAR blitzed them on debut at Albury then was no match but held on well for second behind Group 1 filly Natural Fling around here with 59kg. His recent jumpout win at Flemington was impressive. BUGGSY settled further back than expected in the Poseidon and was strong sectionally. The SA pair BARGHEST (good debut on wet, better start two on dry in good time compared to older horses on day) and NEVEU (has a win over Pretty Baby giving her 3½kg) are both in the game. TALES OF TIME and AEMOND are coming off impressive wins and the alleys favour them over the SA pair.
