DEFENDANT must be forgiven for an unplaced effort here second up when there were excuses. PEPE was produced in the same race as ADAPTATION at Newcastle when he became unsuited in transit. He also has scope to improve.

About Canterbury Racecourse
Canterbury Park Racecourse is located in Sydney’s inner west, about a 15-minute drive from the city centre. It is operated by the Australian Turf Club. The track is used mainly on a midweek basis for night racing, although it sometimes hosts a Saturday meet if Rosehill or Randwick are unavailable.
