ATELLA MISS placed on debut in town on Soft 6 track and looked sharp when runner up on a deep Heavy 10 first up at Moe. That suggested she's very forward and likely to encounter testing going here. FILIGREE SHADOW is an expensive filly from big black type family who sat wide on the pace on a soft track at Ararat and went to the line under a good hold with ears pricked. Top rider engaged. YOU'RE MYWONDERWALL was sent out favourite on debut, but pulled up with a veterinary issue, so no knock on wet ground aptitude. Not tested in lastest jump out on Soft 6. Won jumpout on soft before debut. IBERIAN LYNX has a strong record on soft tracks and an excellent first up profile for first run for 213 days. YUKI sat wide and came down outside fence when third under no pressure on Soft 7 at Cranbourne jump out.

Ballarat Racecourse, also known as Dowling Forest Racecourse, is the home of the Ballarat Turf Club and hundreds of horses in training. It hosts all manner of races from 1000-metre distances to 3400-metre steeple races. The track capacity is 18 runners and it has a 450-metre inside-barrier straight.
