Tough race to assess with a lack of talent on display. AFFIRMATIVE (6) looks the pick of a thin bunch. Was met with solid market support here last time but struggled to get involved. Gets in light at the weights and strikes a much easier assignment. Serious chance this time around. SHU LUA (4) has been thereabouts in his first three runs without threatening. Strips fitter and gets his chance to play a more prominent role in this thin contest. LA LA VITESSE (3) didn't fire a shot debut despite being in the market. Willing to give another chance with that run under the belt. GROSS FREUDE (2) next best.

Kawasaki Racecourse is located in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture. The venue has hosted the ‘Super King Night Race’ since 1995. The dirt track has a circumference of 1200 metres, and races are run counter clockwise. Feature races include the Group 1 Kawasaki Kinen and Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun.
