SHOOBEES LOU (3) was in the betting here last time out but manners let him down. He'll be reaching peak fitness now and should enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. With manners he can be a major force. LEWENDON (6) produced a strong performance at his latest appearance, coming from the back row and scoring by 3 metres at this circuit and distance. Up in grade but could go on with it. SET PLAY (2) draws well and is on the radar having shown some improvement in his last-start fourth in a higher-graded race at Albury a week ago. NICE WON GARY (8) got it wrong first up but will strip fitter and could be a big improver if things go his way from the wide draw.
