LASA (5) was responsible for a very good effort last time over 2600m at Addington, finishing second and just a neck from the winner. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. MAJOR HENRY (14) is back from a break of 14 months and looks to be right up to the mark following a placing in a recent trial. Sure to prove hard to beat on his return. JACK'S EYRE (12) had excuses in his last-start ninth over 2000m at Rangiora. Stick with him at each-way value. DAWN TO DARK (2) did well in a good field when finishing eighth over 2000m at Rangiora two weeks ago. He has a good gate, and he can figure in the top 4 this time at some value.

Ashburton Racecourse in the New Zealand South Island town of Ashburton is home to the Ashburton Racing Club, which was formed in 1878. The club organises nine race meetings per year at the track.
