CLONEEN GIFT (5) hit the ground running with a scorching early sectional but ran over late and missed the frame when a 3 length fourth (30.69) over 500m at this track. Worth another chance. NEW CROSS NIGHTS (1) was below best last time finishing fourth at this track, but prior to that had been racing well including an A5 win two back at this track. Expected to bounce back to best. ALWAYSOPTIMISTIC (2) followed a moderate fourth at this track two runs ago with another plain effort last time to finish fourth, beaten 5 lengths, in an A4 at this track over 500m (30.94). No surprise to see him back in form.
