THE EVEREST PRIZE MONEY

Fast facts

In 2024, Bella Nipotina became the first female horse to win The Everest.

The only three-year-olds to win The Everest are the colt Yes Yes Yes, who stormed home with Glen Boss in the saddle to win in 2019, and the gelding Giga Kick, who caused an upset in 2022.

Yes Yes Yes is the fastest The Everest winner, running a sizzling 1:07:32 minutes in 2019, while the second-fastest winner is Redzel, who ran 1:08:36 when he won his first The Everest in 2017.

Redzel is the only horse to win multiple The Everests. Redzel won the first two editions in 2017 and 2018.

Only three northern hemisphere–trained horses have competed in The Everest. The first two, US Navy Flag (2018) and Ten Sovereigns (2019), were trained in Ireland by Aidan O’Brien, but finished unplaced. Hong Kong’s champion, Ka Ying Rising, a New Zealand–bred gelding, broke through for the internationals in 2025.
