Australian bowler Syd Gregory holds the unwanted distinction of the most Ashes ducks (11 in 92 innings from 1890 to 1912) – just one ahead of modern legends Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne.

England spinner Jim Laker holds Ashes records for most wickets in an innings (10), a match (19) and a series (46), all set during the 1956 rubber in the Old Dart.

An Ashes and overall Test world record for the highest single-day attendance was set on the opening day of the 2013 Boxing Day Test between Australia and England (91,092).
