The Wolf’s best bet is a superbly bred filly at Port Macquarie. Here are Thursday’s racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

Unearthed hasn’t been far away in two runs back from a spell and should be set to peak third up at Port Macquarie. The impeccably bred filly – dam Fritz’s Princess was a Group winner – just failed to overhaul runaway leader Miss Eporetto last time out and should appreciate a stronger tempo here, especially with the perfect draw. This looks an ideal race for her.

WOLF’S TIPS

Excelness has trialled up very nicely in preparation for her debut and should be very hard to beat. The Kris Lees trained Exceed and Excel filly showed really good speed to lead throughout at Gosford when last seen and the filly she beat home, Pandora Blue, has won twice. This track suits front runners and she should take a lot of catching.
Recommended Price: $3.10
Confidence Level: 4/5

Admit It just got a bit too far back last time at Newcastle but can be right in the finish here at a good price. The Allan Denham trained gelding strikes a much easier race and the tempo looks genuine. Look for him to be finishing off hard.
Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5

Vinni Rose comes out of a really hot maiden last time at Moonee Valley and should enjoy the easier company here. From the in-form Julius Sandhu stable, she got a mile back there at the Valley but still hit the line well. With a clean getaway tonight she can be right in the finish.
Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

Jamie Kah is coming out to Pakenham for two rides on Thursday night and while both have good chances, Exeter looks to be the pick of them. The Danny O’Brien trained gelding had no luck last time out at Moonee Valley when posted wide for the duration and should be much better suited at this track. The wide draw should suit and Jamie will have him finishing off hard.
Recommended Price: $5.00/2.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
