The Wolf’s best bet is a quality stayer who looks to have recaptured his best form. Here are Saturday’s racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

Furrion looks to have recaptured his best form since leaving the Hayes stable for the Lindsey Smith yard and he can break through here for a deserved win. The six year old winner of almost $500K caught the eye with a fast finishing second last time out in the Winter Championship Final over a mile. He should be even better suited here over 2000m from a perfect draw.

WOLF’S TIPS

With this race for two year olds over the 1800m it should come down to who runs it out strongly, and Aktolgali gives every impression he will. Last time out he hit the line well over a mile despite having to weave through runners, out to the 1800m looks ideal.
Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

Sir Davy went to the line totally untested last time in the Creswick Stakes and with even luck, he could well have won. He was dropping in trip there and should be even better suited back out to 1400m. There are some nice three year olds in this field but suspect he is the pick of the lot.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 4/5

Just Field did a terrific job to flash home and run second in the first ever “Midway” handicap and she looks a terrific chance to win one of these races here. The Damian Lane trained mare should hopefully sit a little closer in the run this time and if she finishes off as well, should be too good.
Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

Expecting Great House to bounce back to his brilliant best here. The Chris Waller-trained stayer was a brilliant winner first up over 1500m at Rosehill, before going down in a driving finish last time at Rosehill. Ideally drawn and now at peak fitness, he should be too good for his rivals.
Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

Ex-Kiwi London Banker comes here third up having acquitted himself well in his first two Australian runs. Last time out at this track he finished third over a mile, he will relish the extra ground here and strikes a winnable race.
Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

Typhoon Harmony is yet to miss a place in his six career starts and finds a suitable race to break through for his third career win. The Peter Gelagotis trained gelding won at Geelong first up before finishing second at the same track last time out after being caught wide without cover throughout. He should get the gun run here from barrier five.
Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5
