The Wolf’s best bet for Monday is a stayer on the up. Here are Monday’s racing tips.

Strelitzia is a promising stayer who looks well placed here. She did a good job last time at Armidale when held up for clear running at a vital stage, and the final margin of victory was unfair. There is nothing here of Battle Guardian’s class and from barrier seven with Chad Lever up, she should get every chance.

King Dick improved drastically last start at Bendigo, finishing second, close behind the heavily backed debutant McKeever. Harry Coffey will just need some early luck from the wide draw but if he gets it he can go one better today.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Golden Banner produced a much-improved performance here last start, running second behind impressive winner The Turffinator, with a big margin to third. That horse confirmed the form with a dominant victory at Horsham on Saturday. The flashy chestnut covered plenty of ground last time so with a more favourable draw here and out in trip, he looks well placed.

Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Oh Say was an impressive maiden winner last start at Port Macquarie. She looked like being a good thing beaten when held up for much of the home straight, but once Louise Day found clear running she accelerated like a good horse and won comfortably. This is naturally a step up in class but one she looks capable of making.
