The Wolf’s best bet is a promising two-year-old at Randwick. Here are The Wolf’s Saturday racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

Two-year-olds rarely debut more impressively than Four Moves Ahead did on the Kensington track back at the start of January. Despite sitting three wide with no cover throughout, she went on to win by almost three lengths with the last 100m being the best part of her race. The Snitzel filly showed good early speed in her recent trial at Rosehill and Nash Rawiller should press forward from barrier seven. Against a field that lacks star power, she looks a class above.

WOLF’S TIPS

Kallos ran fourth in the Blue Diamond Preview for colts and geldings and the form out of that held up well in the big one. James Cummings has a terrific record in two-year-old races at his Melbourne base and Kallos should be hard to hold out here.
Recommended Price: $4.40
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Nelson was a huge drifter in betting first up at Moonee Valley over 2500m and he should have come on plenty for that run. The six-year-old was was a Group 3 winner in Ireland a few years ago and if he can find anything like that old form he is capable of challenging here.
Recommended Price: $7.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

Hilal had strong trial form and didn’t disappoint on debut on the Kensington track three and a half weeks ago, coming from near last to run away and win in superb style. This race is naturally harder but he looks a most promising colt and can take the next step here.
Recommended Price: $4.00

Poland was given a brilliant ride in the Autumn Stakes but he still won impessively. From barrier one, he stands to get an economical run along the fence and if Craig Williams can get the breaks at the right time, he should be right in the finish.
Recommended Price: $9.00/3.00

Kolding is knocking on the door this campaign with two second placings and should get every chance here from barrier two. With key rivals Verry Elleegant and Colette dyed in the wool wet trackers, the prospect of racing on a firmer track here would be very much to his advantage.
Recommended Price: $8.00

Did enough first up in the worse going and at her best is more competitive with the best fillies of her generation. Should find a spot on the speed and is much better suited at this trip. Nice each way play in an even race.
Recommended Price: $15/4.00

Paul’s Regret beat home the favourite for this race, Snapdancer, last start and it isn’t hard to make a case for her doing it again. The Peter Chow trained mare was very strong through the line there and draws to get the perfect run with William Pike up.
Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

UK import Great House did the job in superb style last start at Rosehill and looks primed to go right through his grades. Chris Waller send him back to the trials to keep his fitness up to the mark between runs, and while he is drawn wide he will likely get back anyway and is capable of making a long sustained run. Looks a class above.
Recommended Price: $2.30
