The Wolf’s best bet finds a winnable race at the Sapphire Coast. Here are Tuesday’s racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

Rapidity is third up for new trainer Jamie Stewart and gets her chance to break through here. The Duporth mare was good first up here over an unsuitable trip before running second to a pretty smart one last time out at Goulburn in Spectrometer. She should be at peak fitness now and should have a fitness edge over favourite Sebago, with that gelding being six weeks between runs.

WOLF’S TIPS

This is a very ordinary maiden and Proverbial has fewer convictions than most of these. She was beaten six lengths on debut at Muswellbrook but that race has produced a couple of subsequent winners and stepping up to 1375m looks in her favour as well. It would not surprise to see big improvement here.

Confidence Level: 3/5

Gunzar is having his first start for new trainer Joseph Ible and there aren’t many that the Canberra based horseman doesn’t improve. The five year old has shown good ability though – he was a dominant winner first up at 1300m last May – and his trials for this have been good.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Fifty Carats showed good ability in her first campaign, finishing second on debut at Narrandera before breaking through at Wagga. She didn’t have much luck either next time at Griffith. There are no stars here and if she presses forward from barrier seven should end up in a nice spot and take some catching.
