The Wolf’s best for Sunday will relish a longer trip at Bendigo. Here are Sunday’s racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

This race sets up beautifully for Grand Pope. The Nick Ryan trained gelding has closed off hard at his last two starts and the extra trip around this spacious track should be perfect for him. Rhys McLeod can position just back of midfield and peel off around the home turn, and come over the top of his rivals late.

WOLF’S TIPS

Sugartown placed second at both runs prior to a spell and the Danny O’Brien trained filly finds a suitable race to win here first up. Those placings came behind Vowmaster and Diamonds who are both well above average three year olds. Damian Lane will have to overcome the widest draw but with just one turn that isn’t a major problem over 1000m at Bendigo.

Recommended Price: $1.80

Bring The Stars hit the line nicely over 1200m on debut at Pakenham and looks well placed getting out in trip here at Bendigo. The Griffiths/De Kock trained colt can hopefully sit a little closer here from the good draw and should be hard to hold out.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Michael Hickmott has had plenty of success bringing horses to the Northern Territory and Lord Bouzeron looks another likely type in the 2021 Alice Springs Cup. He was good last start at Morphettville when covering plenty of ground and draws to get a much kinder run here. Jess Eaton should take her straight to the front from barrier two and prove hard to run down.
